MEET OUR ACTIVE HEALTH LINK WORKER

Active Health Link Worker_edited_edited_

Healthiest Town wants to support people to become more active as a way of improving their health and wellbeing. Sheila Wilson is our active health link worker and she delivers a free and confidential one-to-one advice service for people (aged 16+) living in Aberfeldy and Kinloch Rannoch to become more active to help their physical and/or mental health.

Sheila will meet with you to discuss your motivation, interests, hopes and challenges. We understand the challenges to physical activity, so Sheila is here to support you with small changes to make a more active you. The service can be face-to-face, by phone or video call.

Getting started

Want to lead a healthier and happier life? Did you know there's strong scientific evidence that being physically active can help you achieve just that?

'Making time for me gave me some
much needed self care'

If you want to know more about what to expect and how coaching from Sheila could help you, read Gill's story here
.

I gave myself small goals with Sheila enabling me to start somewhere! I discussed what was preventing me doing these things and how we could change this. I liked talking it through
with somebody – never needed to before but this helped at this time hugely.

This is a great, encouraging and non-judgmental initiative. It is really helpful for
those who feel isolated.

My appointments on a regular basis have made me think more about my level of
activity and given me some of the motivation needed to become more active. The sessions were friendly and goals set were achievable.
